  1. John says:

This is entirely representative of every effort of communication across the epistemic divide

  2. jean-françois says:

    vade retro barmaid.

  3. Mockingbird says:

Well said Barmaid. After recently hearing, over and over again, “I’m sorry sir, we cannot do anything about it.” I asked if she were a robot. She replied, “NO.”

I had to respond, “That’s what robots always say.”

  4. M27Holts says:

Well if they REALLY believe in ASMODEUS don’t bother having a grown-up discussion with them. Treat them as you would a four year old, though my 4yo grandson is already far more questioning than 100% of the religiously retarded….

  5. M27Holts says:

For a start off…don’t let them in your pub until they can show enough gumption to appear 18, even if they have the intellectual capacity of a frozen whelk…

  6. Next week they should accuse her of fomenting a moral panic.

  7. Succubus ov Satan says:

Satan is the same thing as god

  8. paradoctor says:

    Mockingbird:
Next time say, “But you can be replaced by a robot.”

  9. paradoctor says:

In panel 1, Mo accidentally describes himself, for he himself has closed his mind.

But Jesus isn’t entirely wrong in panel 4. Satan is the Prosecuting Angel; he _would_ ask difficult questions like that. Sinners take the 5th.

  10. Laripu says:

Jean-François, merci! You offered some Latin, and I was forced to look it up, and therefore learned something. Now, THAT’S something I can get behind.

  11. M27Holts says:

I did latin for 3 years at high school…and classical studies….I would have preferred a proper introduction into number theory, statistics and physics…don’t gete onto the ludicrous english lit and religious studies they made me suffer…Floyd were partially right…I don’t need no (non science) education…

  12. Mockingbird says:

Laripu ~ You learned that if it had been in English, you wouldn’t have had to look it up.

  13. M27Holts says:

Aye…precisely and succinctly put, my owd china…

  14. A.H. says:

Learning hebrew. Satan is a verb, The word is derived from a verb meaning primarily “to obstruct, oppose”. Sometimes in the bible in hebrew an angelical angel is the “satan” or opposer of the actions of a patriarch.

  15. Deus_Ex_Mamiya says:

    > vade retro barmaid.

Jesus and Satan were in a loving gay relationship.
    Hence “Get behind me, Satan!”
