Dear Author: Nothing to do with this week’s script (brilliant as usual, BTW), but yesterday, Wednesday 11 March, J&M was blocked on my laptop by something calling itself Homefence or similar, also quoting a number, 403. I did not fall into its trap of downloading a huge mass of text, but tried to send it a ‘F… Off” message (I hope successfully), and attempted to warn you via Faecebook. Today, everything worked as normal.
I guess the next strip will be aimed at the batshit ayatollah who claims that covid-19 was sent by allah to punish china for their treatment of muslims…
It must be a cold day in Hell, because I actually agree with the Australian PM (a die-hard Xian who is trying pass a religion discrimination bill that will give powers to businesses and organizations [chiefly Xians] to discriminate against people who “offend” their beliefs).
I agree with him in that people who are panic-buying and hoarding groceries need to stop what they’re doing, as raiding supermarkets like mobs in a zombie movie is beyond ridiculous. People in my city are now taking tour buses to country towns to raid and deplete supermarkets there to satisfy their panic, leaving the residents of said towns without their resources. At least one town has hired bouncers to protect their stores from outsiders.
I don’t remember The Stand reading this dystopian.
