    Well, to be fair … it kind of depends on the definition of racism. There is something there that people hate and fear, but it isn’t really theological, is it? Islam isn’t what created the problem, any more than Christianity created a superior alternative. Islamophobia is basically about a cultural group – not really racial, hence the definition problem, because we sure do sometimes consider racism in terms of identifiable cultural differences. Yeah, sure, Islam reinforces the destructive traits of that culture, but what’s the odds it would have come out that way? About 100%.
